Artist Statement

Since I was a child, I have always been fascinated by how the interaction of color, design and form can produce an aesthetically beautiful object. I have experimented with this interaction in many mediums over the years with knitting evolving as one of my favorites. I so enjoy searching out small Canadian farms that offer yarns dyed in wonderful colors. Then the real fun is seeing how the colors and patterns evolve, both in the planning and knitting stages, into a sweater. And finally, it is such a pleasure to see someone enjoy wearing my creation.
