As a mixed media artist, Jenny works with collage and assemblage. Her pieces are inspired by myth and spirituality, and a reverence for nature. She feels myth is a symbolic language that resonated within our psyche regardless of culture or time. Working primarily in clay, her sculptural boxes and shrines often incorporate found objects and natural materials. She creates hand bound journals and one of a kind artists books, expressing herself on paper with images and text. These books are begining to appear tucked in niches in her ceramic shrines.
Jennifer Davies-Reazor is currently residing in Newark Delaware. A pottery instructor at the Art Studio in New Castle County, she is teaching ceramics classes for children and teens. Jenny teaches workshops for all ages at the Newark Arts Alliance, Wilmington's Urban Environmental Center. She is also an artist in residence for Pegasus Artworks, an after school program affiliated with Boys & Girls Clubs of Delaware. Jenny has been showing her work in the area, since re-settling on the East Coast. Previously, Jenny was a full time art and ceramics teacher in Charles County, MD, teaching both middle and high school art during her 12 year tenure there. While teaching, she continued her own educational experience with courses taken at Maryland Institute College of Art in Baltimore MD. Her undergraduate degree in Studio art and education was earned at Skidmore College in Saratoga Springs, NY.
