Artist Statement

I recently retired as an art teacher, specializing in Photography, I have worked in Photography for many years and have traveled much of the world taking photographs. I have recently returned to clay work. My pottery at this time has been in experimental firing - pit firing, barrel firing, raku.

I have a Master's degree from the U. of D. and have attended Boston University, Delaware State University, Rochester Institute of Technology, Brooks Institute of Photography, and Savannah College of Art and Design.

I have shown my work and won awards but mostly I am trying to concentrate on doing the work I love - that is what gives me the most satisfaction.
