Artist Statement

Over the years I have painted abstract landscapes using richly vibrant imaginary colors over layers of various textures. In a recent project, I explored large format printing of images captured photographically from these paintings. I than mounted these images onto shaped aluminum to produce "sculptural, abstract landscapes".
From one image came multiple color versions and multiple sculptural solutions for presenting these images. Unlimited size options, make these brightly colored two and three dimensional designs accent pieces for any indoor or outdoor commission.
Whether I am using the tools of a craftsman, a photographer, a painter, a sculptor or a designer, I am always following an idea or inspiration that needs to be produced and, so, I am constantly learning new skills.
Today, I am enjoying a renewed focus as an artist. 2009 Juried Shows
