I aim to create iconic images. I want the composition, color, and subject matter to work in a way that is irresistible to the viewer; whether my image is understood or even liked is secondary to simply being acknowledged. I don’t over-think my work. I simply try to convey an opinion or thought as purposeful as possible.
About the Artist
Bryan Davis was raised in Hockessin, Delaware. He received a B.F.A. from the University of Delaware in 2005, with a concentration in Illustration. He currently lives in Delaware, where he divides his time between painting and paying the mortgage. Mr. Davis has exhibited at various locations including the Society of Illustrators, The Maryland Federation of Art Circle Gallery, The Rehoboth Art League, Opera Delaware, the Grand Opera House, The Greenville Country Club, Tyme Gallery, and the Carvel State Building's Mezzanine Gallery. He has also received recognition from various institutions including American Illustration, Studio Visit, Tyme Gallery, the National Arts Program, and the Advertising Club of Delaware.
